Our Accomplishments:
- A Neightboorhood Networks Center established by US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
- 2002 Indianapolis Families Count Award Winner
- Featured on Amos Brown Talk Show and other various news media
- Assisted and aided hundreds of residents during the 2002 Indiana Tornado Disaster
- Partnered to implement Indiana's 1st Camp Noah (Minnesota Luther Based program for children who experience post traumatic stress due to disaster) July 2003
- Listed in the Rainbow Book (Information and Referral Network, Inc)
- Partnered with Ambassador Career Institute to provide medical job training to residents (2003)
- Executive Director is Chairperson for Community Systemwide Initiative (CSR) for the Far Eastside. An initiative through Marion County Purdue-4H Extension to identify concerns and channellenges affecting youth and provide resources to resolve the issues.
- Executive Director is Chair of Eastside Disaster Recovery Committee (EDRC) to identify and coordinate resources for residents on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis who need assistance due to a disaster. This was a community-developed committee by concerned community leaders after the September 2002 tornadoes hit Indianapolis
Our Goals:
Bridging the "Digital Divide" by providing computer technology and resources that assist youth and adults to
capitalize on opportunities for education, job readiness training, placement, and advancement in conjunction
with life developing skills to enhance family strengthening, communications and activities.
